MAC Announces A Volunteer Leadership Opening

The MAC Board congratulates Chris Bucolo on his new position as Industry Specialist, Security and Regulatory Compliance, and PCI Compliance at Amazon. Based on his new responsibilities, Chris had to withdraw from some of his current leadership roles within MAC for the time being.

Chris is a long-time volunteer, leader, and content contributor to MAC.  He is a familiar face to many at MAC events, and he is a friend or mentor to many individuals within the payment industry.  Chris served as co-chair for MAC’s Education Committee and as President-Elect for the MAC Board for the past year. In these and other roles, he gifted MAC with his diplomacy and strategy skills, in addition to his deep and genuine belief in MAC’s mission and its members.

In accordance with MAC’s policy and procedure manual, Chris’ departure from the President-Elect position necessitates a special election.  We will soon be announcing the spring election process for the MAC Board of Directors.  However, we will be seeking to fill the President-Elect position in a shorter window.  Additional details will be provided on position requirements and the application process by early January.

We again congratulate Chris on his new role. We know Chris will remain involved in MAC to the extent possible.  We welcome qualified individuals to apply for the President-Elect position, other board positions or join MAC in a volunteer capacity.  MAC is run almost entirely by volunteers, and our forward movement is made possible by individuals like Chris, who share their time and talent with MAC.

To learn more about volunteer opportunities, look at our recently updated volunteer pages on the MAC Website under Engage on the main menu or email us at volunteer@macmember.org.  We have more announcements coming for volunteers early in 2022, in addition to the election notices.
