APP Board of Directors Elections Announcement for Officers

As a leading association in the risk management domain, APP is at the forefront of shaping our industry's future. Given the ever-evolving challenges in risk and compliance within the payments industry, it is essential to have effective leaders at our helm who are committed to our mission of safeguarding the payment ecosystem through education, collaboration, and leadership. 

With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that the APP Board of Directors elections process for officers is underway for the pivotal roles of President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer for the term starting June 1, 2024.  Elections for non-officer Director-at-Large positions will open in January.

Open Positions:

  • President-Elect: Assist the Chief Elected Officer, with the prospect of assuming the presidency after a one-year term.

  • Secretary: Act as the Board's Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring strict adherence to governance and compliance standards.

  • Treasurer: Fulfill the role of the Board's Chief Financial Officer, guaranteeing prudent fiscal management.


Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for any of these officer roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the payments industry, either as an employee or independent contractor, and currently employed.

  • Maintain an active, good-standing membership with APP.

  • Obtain support and consent from your company to assume the leadership role.

Terms:

  • Secretary and Treasurer: Three-year term starting June 2024.

  • President-Elect: Four-year term— one year as President-Elect starting June 2024, followed by two years as President, and concluding with one year as Immediate Past President.
