As a leading association in the risk management domain, APP is at the forefront of shaping our industry's future. Given the ever-evolving challenges in risk and compliance within the payments industry, it is essential to have effective leaders at our helm who are committed to our mission of safeguarding the payment ecosystem through education, collaboration, and leadership.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that the APP Board of Directors elections process has begun for the roles of Secretary (1) and for Director-at-Large (5) for the term starting June 1, 2024.
Open Positions:
- Director-at-Large (5): Act as a voting member on the Board of Directors. This role determines the vision, mission, and strategy of the association while ensuring strong fiduciary oversight, sponsor development, and acting as active ambassadors of the organization.
- Secretary (1): Act as the Board's Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring strict adherence to governance and compliance standards. In addition to the responsibilities listed under Director-at-Large.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for any of these officer roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the payments industry, either as an employee or independent contractor, and currently employed.
- Maintain an active, good-standing membership with APP.
- Obtain support and consent from your company to assume the leadership role.
Terms:
- Director-at-Large: Two-year term starting June 2024. There is a term limit of two consecutive terms.
- Secretary: Three-year term starting June 2024.
