MAC Awards

In 2022 MAC launched its first volunteer awards!

For 25 years, MAC's existence was made possible by the contributions, achievements, and/or impact of individuals who volunteer their time, talent, energy, and resources to support MAC's mission.  How can we not believe in acknowledging and celebrating the achievements and impact of our volunteers and members on the organization and its mission?

This page serves to highlight our current Awards.  We are considering additional awards for the future.  If you would like to nominate someone for an award, or if there is an award category you think MAC should develop, we would like to hear from you!

Current MAC Awards:

Starting in 2022, MAC will begin to provide two awards each year.  The recipients of these awards will be announced at the MAC Level Up event in March.

MAC Donut Award for Volunteering

According to MAC lore, in the early days of MAC, members would meet in a café or donut shop to discuss current risks and trends in payment fraud and crimes. This award recalls that history, and reflects the values that have always been a part of MAC: education, communication, and collaboration. The Donut Shop represents the importance of a place to come together as a community. Donuts symbolize the way some volunteers keep coming back around again and again, like an endless circle, to make MAC a successful and valuable organization and community for its members. Thus, the MAC Donut Award for Volunteering is reserved for outstanding volunteers who continue to contribute to MAC consistently over time. Established in 2022.
